Chasen draws its inspiration from the bamboo whisk central to the tea ceremony – whose delicate filaments keeps changing shape. The fascinating method of slicing bamboo into fine longitudinal strips has been adapted to use sophisticated chemical erosion technology. After bending, a steel sheet is transformed into a polymorphous luminous object. The user can adapt the overall shape of the light by adjusting the louvres. Available in black or white.
